Forestry Sustainability & PEFC
PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) is the world's largest forest certification system, covering more than 280 million hectares of certified forest through an alliance of national, third-party-audited forest management systems, plus chain-of-custody certification for companies sourcing forest-based products.
ISCC — CORSIA / PLUS / EU
ISCC EU verifies sustainability and greenhouse gas performance for biofuels under the EU Renewable Energy Directive. ISCC PLUS extends this to circular and bio-based products outside the EU market, including bioplastics, chemicals, and food and feed raw materials. Rainforest Alliance
Founded in 1987, the Rainforest Alliance certifies farms and forests under its Sustainable Agriculture Standard, recognised by the green frog seal. The programme now works with more than 7.5 million farmers and farmworkers worldwide, covering critical criteria on deforestation, human rights, and climate resilience — including alignment with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
RSPO — Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil
Established in 2004, RSPO sets the environmental and social criteria that growers must meet to produce RSPO Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO). Supply chain certification is available at different levels of traceability — Mass Balance, Segregated, and Identity Preserved — depending on how tightly certified material needs to be tracked.
